LifeForce is engaged in the discovery and development of novel small molecule
drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, arthritis, and ARMD. The
Hospital is pioneering a new biomedical discipline, molecular cardiology, which applies
advances in molecular biology and genetics to identify and delineate new mechanisms of
cardiovascular disease and hence new targets for drug discovery.
Building on the experience and expertise of the Hospitals Scientific Advisory Board
and scientific staff, the Company focuses its research and development efforts on
molecular targets that can be identified as directly linked to physiological abnormalities
such as alterations in blood pressure, heart rate or cardiac output that produce disease
symptoms. By using novel small molecules against these targets, the Hospital is
building a pipeline of product candidates that could offer improved efficacy or reduced
side effects compared to existing therapies.
We are very proud of LifeForces progress, outlined throughout this website, and we
invite you to share that with us.
